Hammocks very well may be the best place to spend a lazy afternoon. Not only do they provide a stylish seating option in your yard, they are incredibly comfortable and relaxing. This means that whether you're reading, napping or just watching the clouds stroll by, you'll be in a tranquil place. Not too long ago, hammocks could only be enjoyed by those individuals who were fortunate enough to have two trees close together to hang one from but today, there are so many types of styles and sizes, anyone can enjoy the relaxation that they provide.

 

Rope Hammocks

Rope hammocks are typically made from polyester or cotton and they are the traditional models that many people think of however, there is no need for trees anymore. Many today come with or are able to be attached to their own sturdy stand which makes them portable. This means whether you want to chase the sun or shade around the yard, your hammock will go with you. Always make sure when buying these types of hammocks that stands and ropes are treated with some type of protective coating so they are weather and mildew-resistant. Rope hammocks are available in chair style as well.

 

Fabric Hammocks

It is easy to see why fabric hammocks have become insanely popular due to the variety of colors, patterns and styles that they are available in. Some are large enough to comfortably accommodate two people while others are so portable that they'll fold up into a bag to take with you to the beach. The greatest thing about fabric hammocks is that they are wonderful to lay on, just like your favorite blanket. Most are made from a breathable, mildew resistant fabric and some even have an attachable pillow.

 

Hammock Chairs

Hammock chairs combine comfort with practical seating. They're great on your patio, around the pool or on your front porch where you can sit and read the Sunday paper. Chair-style hammocks are available in rope or fabric varieties and some even have nice cushioned seating so you can relax in it just like you would a swing. Accessories What would your favorite hammock be without a few fabulous accessories? If you use your hammock for reading, perhaps you might like an attachable magazine holder or a canopy to block the sun. Of course, you'll need a beverage near by so a hammock table will certainly come in handy as well. Don't have a garage to store your hammock in over the winter? You can find compact storage bags too. Hammocks may not help you get your chores done in the house but they certainly will make you want to get a little more fresh air!
